Have you ever had a moment where something stopped you dead in your tracks? Something grabs your complete attention and you find it hard to continue on. This week, numerous snow falls sent a huge PAUSE in my day to day adventure and I was arrested by God's presence..... It took me by complete surprise, this unplanned moment with God. An expected package had finally arrived-loads of books, gifts and two cds. I popped in the first cd and started housework and mommy duties. I had planned to catch up on some much needed rest later that afternoon, but after popping in that second cd (Sounds of Revival by William McDowell)-the Spirit of God arrested me and put me on pause. My whole world stood still as I begin to answer God calling me into His presence. It was calm and refreshing at first and then joyful beyond expected feelings. Before I knew it, I was overtaken by His glory like a wave over a surfer. His healing power engulfed me and I could see the hurt pieces of my heart before Him. There was no hiding, there was no shame, just an open conversation between me and God. Hours passed but it all seemed to be over to quickly. The residue of His patience and His healing stayed with me long after I left the room. Yes God had encountered me, unexpectedly and I was grateful.. When is the last time you had an encounter with God? has it been too long? I'm grateful for the snow storms, they forced a pause in my life that was much needed. What could God be using in your life right now, to put you on pause and turn your attention towards HIM? It is my sincerest prayer that when God arrests you and gracefully pulls you into His presence, that you don't move. Don't rush to leave, don't rush to make sense of it all. Be in His presence and simply BE. God wants to encounter us all. There is healing, joy, restoration and peace in His presence. Go there today!
