"and Jacob said, I will not let you go, except you bless me" (Genesis 32) Today I draw strength from the power of Jacob's fight. Read his story in chapter 32 of Genesis!!
I believe this is one of the most powerful moments in scripture, because many of us can relate to this "wrestling moment" Jacob has. He finds himself In a desperate place and he makes time to be ALONE with God. It is during this alone time, that God encounters him.. He is feeling weak, vulnerable and afraid! It is during his time, that he turns to God. The angel sees that Jacob is gaining victory over him in this fight, so he knocks Jacob's hip out of joint! (OUCH!) now that's some extreme pain and yet Jacob does NOT give up!!! This is where most of us quit, the moments of extreme pain. Pain has a way of paralyzing you, so many of us would have completed a thing, but pain stopped us! Jacob pushed through the pain, until he got he blessing he so desperately needed. He needed protection, he needed assurance, he needed forgiveness. I don't know what you NEED from God, but today I encourage you to fight for it!! Push through the pain, whether it be physical or emotional. I have found myself pushing through much emotional pain in this season of my life. Times where I feel I have no more energy to contend, times where the pain seems more than I can bear and constant! It is a daily fight, but I'm fighting to win. Today I encourage you to do the same. Don't lay down and take down, FIGHT!

Have you ever struggled to believe? Maybe in the beginning you were full of hope and trust but somewhere in between that Prophecy & fulfillment...........
"Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear" where have you seen this?
It is gently inscribed on the side mirrors of your vehicle. It's a reminder to the roaming driver, that cars (behind you) may SEEM far away, but they are actually closer to you, than they appear to be. Yes my friend, let's have a little talk about "perspective". I have found in this season of my life, that Perspective can't make or break your outcome! Yes the way you perceive something to be, is going to determine your actions. Have you ever heard a story retold from two eye witnesses? The stories almost always differ, even though they both witnessed the event! One person saw the lady as lost and confused while the other person saw her as focused and calm. The difference? Perspective! So while you may see this storm in your life, as the worst season ever, God doesn't. What you see as pain, rejection or trouble, God sees it as an opportunity!! Let's pause to agree with scripture (Isaiah 55;8) Gods ways are NOT our ways and his thoughts are NOT our thoughts. Maybe you are waiting on a specific blessing and you feel it's so far away, but what if that blessing is closer than it appears to be? Have you ever stopped to analyze your situation through Gods eyes? Perhaps things are rely better than they seem to be . A missed opportunity could actually be a divine setup from God. My friend I hope you are encouraged to connect with Gods perspective. Spend some time with Him today, and ask him to allow you to see what He sees about your situation. Look through the lenses of the Word and get a fresh perspective! Your miracle is closer than it seems to be my friend, only believe!!! |
