When I was younger, we used to race all the time. We always were striving to see who was the fastest. Three words were screamed every single time, READY, SET, GO!!! We would take off like horses at the sound of that go.
I don't know about you, but GO was always my favorite word, I hated the waiting. I had been practicing and anticipating the race all night and ready to show what my long legs could do! The waiting was frustrating but I knew in my mind, that eventually, the GO was coming!!!
Sometimes we can feel the same way in our walk of faith. We obey God's instructions and then we feel ready to GO and God says WAIT. When you feel so ready, it's hard to wait. Do you agree?
I have learned two things to encourage myself while waiting and I want to share them with you. #1 be encouraged to know that the WAIT isn't permanent, the GO is coming. Though it may feel like you've been waiting for an eternity, trust that the timing of the lord is always in your favor.
#2 don't focus on the time when your waiting! If you focus on the time, it will work against you. Focus on the assignment and instructions God is giving you during the wait. Know that the wait is time to Prepare!! Preparing for the next level is a process and a necessary one. Though you can't see it now, trust that the waiting is making you ready for greater.
"All who wait on the lord, He will renew their strength "Isaiah 40:31 continue to wait in faith my friends and the lord will strengthen your heart.
